Be skeptical...I looked up the property in MLS, 1-it is not listed in our system as available as a rental nor did it pop up on market either. Not very many homes in Salisbury for rent...
206 Oakview Drive for $1350
155 Brown Acres Road for $550
1205 Railroad Street for $450
these are reputable and are actually listed in MLS as available, and only a couple more that are 1 bed/1bath in apartment type bigger house...try Kannapolis, China Grove as a next better bet for rentals, Good Luck.

the risk you run is ... as continuing to be a renter, you may never get to own a property. go ahead and rent whatever, but think to the future and save a down payment or find something with low down payment. rent is not deductible and you're pouring money down the drain. for about the same money you can own your own home. Unless you move more often than every 5 years, then home ownership is the way to go. so many people never bought a house because they didn't think ahead and plan ahead and / or they're afraid.

you should be afraid of being stuck in the rut of being a RENTER.

that's the reason your landlord is a real estate investor, there are always plenty of folks too afraid or unable to plan to buy their own home.
