stpsb.org is the authoritative website on this subject. I always refer clients to this website, as the school board can change boundaries, and anything but the most current info could be problematic. I would always want a client to be comfortable with potential school districts and to get maps from a primary source. Such an important part of the buying process for anyone with children! ... more

Schools in St. Tammany are zoned according to your home address. There are very special circumstances that families are allowed to enroll their child/children out of school district.

Please contact St. Tammany School Board, Slidell office @ 985 641 1414. Good luck.

Jessica, since you are buying your condo, you have much more leeway than a tenant. However, all of them would enforce a leash law and scoop rules. Call me. I'd be glad to help you get a copy of the condo docs.

Miranda, you can also go to the St. Tammany Parish School Board website at http://www.stpsb.org
When you open their site, you click on "schools" at the top of the page. It will take you to another page. You will then click on "attendance boundaires" (found on your left side of the web page in the "blue"). There you will see a list of all the schools, If you click on the name of the school your child is currently attending, you will be viewing a map of the school boundaires for that particular school. If you know where your new home will be you can easily see if they will be going to the same school. Hope this has helped you. If I can help with anything else, please do not hesitate to contact me via email jbegovich@erastirling.com -- Thank you for your trust -- Jeannie ... more

According to the tax records, this property is in the city limits of Mandeville and thus it falls in the Mandeville High district. Fontainbleu's district begins just north of Florida Avenue, West of Hwy 59, outside the city limits. Properties east of Hwy 59, north of Florida will be in the new Lakeshore High School district (opening fall 2009). You can view all school boundary information at www.stpsb.org or call the district office to verify a specific address, 985-898-3370. ... more

St. Tammany parish public schools do include a gifted and talented program. The talented arts teachers at both Mandeville Middle and Lake Harbor have a great rapport and plan excursions to museums and so forth with children from both schools.

I have three children who attend public schools in Mandeville (Mandeville Elementary and Lake Harbor Middle School). Two of them are in the gifted program and my oldest is in the talented art program at Lake Harbor. I'd be happy to talk to you about either school. I can also direct you to parents from other area schools if you like. Contact me at your convenience at kracine@kw.com or (985)807-3159.

Check out the schools' websites: http://mandevillemiddle.stpsb.org/ and http://lakeharbormiddle.stpsb.org/
