I understand. I lived t St Pete beach for 7 years and after awhile got tired of all the tourist.
Going north the Redington but not to Clearwater is more residential.

I actually moved close to downtown St. Pete which has all the restaurants and night life like Miami area. We are only about 20 minutes from the Beach but we are enjoying the life style better for us.

We know both areas and would like to help you.
Feel free to call or email me anytime

The value of the home is not determined by the seller's motivation. It is determined by the sales activity in the surrounding neighborhood for the past six months.

This can vary greatly depending on what size home you are talking about building and what type of finishes you intend to do. I just had a client build in nearby Indian Rocks Beach and I know several new construction builders you could get quotes from. If you want to call me we can discuss further and Ic an help you get an idea of pricing.

It depends on the lender. I work with a very accommodating mortgage broker Van Dyke. You may want to contact them directly to get some information. Every lender has different demands. I have had lenders walk away from properties even though the buyer met all qualifications. So talk to a mortgage broker. ... more

Caroline York answered:
Timely question so today, November 11, 2011 there are still a few unkonowns that could lower our prices again. We know that the banks are holding on to inventory they foreclosed on earlier. So even though our current inventory appears to be stabilizing in pricing we must watch carefully to see what the banks are planning to do with their inventory. Two weeks ago I did some research and found 84 properties over the price of $500K along the beaches (from Passe-a-grille to Madiera) that are in the foreclosure process but have not yet been taken over by the banks. How those properties are going to affect property prices remains to be seen. I think we can all say that if prices are lowered the percentage of decrease will not even come close to what has already happened between 2008 and today. ... more

As long as the disability is permanent and will continue that means the ssd will continue. That is then considered a stable income and a mortgage can be written based on your income.
