No. It is illegal in ALL 50 states to deny a loan because of age, race, gender, family status, religion or ethnicity. Lenders can lose their license. If you want to buy and need a mortgage loan / financing, you need to know that lenders will pull your credit and qualify you based on the following:

Income for Retirees - 401K, Social Security, pension, investments, savings, annuity.
Outstanding Debts - car loan, credit cards, student loans, medical bills, etc.
Debt to Income Ratio - percentage of monthly debt expenses compared to income
Credit Score and Credit History - your FICO credit score should be 620 or higher
Tax Returns - the past 2 years

Contact a lender and ask to be pre approved. In theory, you can qualify for a loan at 99 years old - age is not a factor. Lenders get their money back when the house sells.

Peachtree Corners is a charming area in West Gwinnett County. Centrally located between the two areas of interest, it is the county's newest city, is bustling with planned and new developments and is also convenient to the interstates, the City of Norcross (where there are lots events planned through out the year) and more. You didn't ask about schools. Norcross High School is not my favorite, but there are plenty of other school choices nearby.

Please remove the google maps picture from 2076 Michel Delving Dr , Baton Rouge. The picture is from about 7 years ago during renovation. Please do this right away. I will try to add a new photo this week end. The current google maps shot is fine but having no picture is ok for now. Otherwise I will have to remove the listing tonight.

We live in this perfect area zoned for Lassitar (one of the best schools in Metro Atlanta) and are only about five-ten minutes from Town Center Mall, yet our two neighbors have 50 acres each of only horse farms, and the person across the street has 25. It is beautiful and is about a minute from a Walmart and ten from a mall. There is plenty of property for sale here including our house next door that we own. You should try it out; it's pretty nice.

You have the ability to edit your home facts that appear in the Owner Information section. Please follow these instructions on how to edit your home facts. This includes editing the number of bedrooms/bathrooms, square footage, home features, description and more.

Sign into your Trulia account. If you do not have an account, you must first register in order to update your home facts.
If you haven't already claimed your home, navigate to the property page, go to the "Edit Home Facts " button and verify ownership.
If you have claimed your home, click on the same "Edit Home Facts" button to update your home facts.
Make sure to select Publish Updates at the bottom of the page.

I too will defer to your agent because it really does depend on the language in the purchase and sale agreement. It would seem, however, that you would only be responsible for the actual closing costs "Up to" $10K. If the closing costs really are less than that amount, then that is what you would pay. Of course, the question is "which closing costs?" This is the reason why some agents (including yours truly) itemize the closing costs that the seller's contribution will go toward.
