This is on the low end of the price range for 2 bedrooms, so you may want to look on Domu, Craig's LIst and other sites where landlords advertise inexpensive rentals. It's also late for early August move-in. Hopefully you've either found a willing agent by now or have identified some properties on rental sites that might work for you. Best to get out there ASAP to find something by your dates. Good luck! ... more

I am renting a place in Roscoe, lease started June 1. In my search I looked at at least 15 places. Based on your budget I'd zero in on Bell and Audubon school district, you can find 2 bedrooms in that area for about $1400 - $2000, but don't expect all the bells and whistles. I found all my listings on craigslist. ... more

Garage parking in Chicago can REALLY come in handy in the winter! You can avoid frozen windows, snow, fighting for a spot, etc. And even in warmer months we can get a lot of rain (not this year!), which can leave water spots on your car after a nice car wash!

A private spot in general is good to have if you like to just park and walk into your home. And a garage is if you want that added protection from the elements. We have a lot of elements in Chicago, so you may want covered if it is a nice car. However, parking is one thing many people have to either sacrifice or pay more for when you move into the city. GOOD LUCK!

Hi Patricia-

Our foreclosures are listed with agents in the MLS. You may want to contact a local agent to get that information for you.

We added a new feature to our website which allows you to search for foreclosures ONLY in the Chicagoland area and you can break it down to search specific areas.

I added that information to web references below.

I hope this helps!

There is no common, average, usual, typical, or normal commission. In fact it would be considered price fixing for us to say that there was.

We are prohibited from even discussing our own fees, amongst realtors, because it could be considered an attempt to "agree on a fixed price" and would violate the Sherman anti-trust laws.

Each agent, and agency negotiates the commission that they feel they need and deserve in order to properly market your property.
