IF you have a lease that is a legal document and stays in force with the property even when sold. I'm not an attorney so I can't advise but as a landlord and Realtor I know that a lease cannot be broken with a sale or shortsale. Read your lease terms and show it to your attorney to be sure.... more
Did you always live in NY? This can be confusing, In NY generally, and certainly in Roosevelt, the tenant pays the fees; in other states neighboring states such as NJ and PA, the landlord pays the fee.... more
