Its very difficult with any pet, a large dig is even tougher. There were nice rentals in Suffern if that is not too far, unfortunately the closer to Nyack, the more expensive it will be. Good Luck! ... more

George Ferguson answered:
I have successfully found rentals for many pet owners. Because many rentals in Rockland do want to accept pets, and especially multiple pets, many tenants encounter great difficulty in finding a suitable rental. I suggest that you contact me (contact information below) to discuss your options and how I achieve success where many others don't.

Cordially,

Amm0728,

There are a few props on the market right now, not many. We live in the So Orangetown School Dist and my daughter attends TZE. It is a very desireable area. You may want to check Our Town for rentals by owner as well. Good luck and if you need assistance please get in touch with me at your convenience.

George Ferguson answered:
Very carefully - there is a reason that an agent has been excluded from the "process". I suspect that you do not understand the rental process and view (understandably) the rental fee as a cost you want to eliminate. After 15 years, the one fact about rentals is that there is a reason why there is no "rental fee" and that reason is never in the favor of the tenant. If you go to http://GeorgeC21.com and click on ALL THE LISTINGS - you can search for rentals and if you want, you can also sign up without obligation, to be notified on a daily or weekly basis when a rental meeting your criteria comes on the market. ... more

Ellen Kippel answered:
Hi Arjaques,

I imagine by now you have arrived from Australia to Pearl River and have found a quality apartment there. Pearl River is a great place to live and depending on where you are, it is, indeed within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. The commute to NYC is perfect. The NJ Transit has a stop right in the heart of Pearl River and from there you go to either Secaucus or Hoboken, and then take the PATH to NYC. You can go downtown to the Financial district or uptown to 34th Street and 7th Avenue. Commuting is also possible by bus and by car. The bus takes you into the NYC Port Authority building on 41st Street and 8th Avenue. Depending on when you leave to go to NYC by car and where you are going in NYC it can be anywhere from 30 minutes and up to get there. The recommended site for finding out about schools in the US is www.greatschools.org. Realtors are not permitted to give opinions about schools but many people I know have relied on this site and been satisfied with it. Please contact me at 914-588-2365 if you are not situated yet in Pearl River, and I will be glad to help you. Of course, I hope you have found an apartment and gotten furniture by now.

If you need any further assistance in real estate, please let me know.

Take care,
Ellen
