Verizon is a bunch of crooks, They will promise you anything to get you to sign up for service and then not follow thru later and send you an enormous bill and deny saying they made deal with you, DO NOT SIGN UP for Verizon
VERIZON - What a bunch of CROOKS! They call and offer a better deal and package and we can save you money, oh but when the bill comes now it twice what it was before. So I call customer service, oh no sir we would never offer that kind of deal, you just have to pay what we send you on the bill. We can lower you service again and you can pay more....Oh really, less service and more money, oh sure sign me up...Forget you Verizon. Time to look for another internet and cable provider....Booo on you Verizon

Dear 9eritrea,

Renae is correct, you can get all sorts of valuable statistics at the City Data page. Here is a link for Riverside as a whole http://www.city-data.com/city/Riverside-California.html The best way to interpret this data is to work with a Realtor who is very familiar with the area you are interested in. They can help you understand how the community compares to other potential communities.

You can also visit my "Orangecrest" page at http://www.jasonshawnmcintyrebroker.com/orangecrest.asp. There is a "Community Reports" tab on the left hand side that you can enter ANY zip code and get a detailed report including; School Ratings, Crime Levels, Income and Education levels and much more. You can even compare two zip codes side by side.

I hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Jason Shawn McIntyre, Broker

Hi Sharon,

Wanted to second the information you have been provided thus far, you should be ok and able to find a house to rent. The key is for you to be aware you might need to do a little more research and might be required a little more from the landlord. Be assertive and help your landlord understand your a great and responsible tenant. Good luck!!!

I hope this answer isn't too late... but moving from Ok to LE is such a good transition for you. It isn't like moving to LA! It's much smaller and quieter. A bit of country. Awesome ride up on hywy 74 towards orange county and coastal cities and beach areas. My hubby is from OK as well and he loves it here compare to the larger cities. I'm a local realtor and we bought a house here couple of years ago. We love our home and living here! the lake view from our front porch and upstairs is an added bonus. Close to schools and parks, to include dog park, skate boarding area next to residential park. Very clean, quiet and friendly neighborhood. McVicker canyon is our favorite area! Services are cheaper compare to orange county or san diego cty.
Goodluck on your move!

My son attends Canyon Lake Middle School. We have been very pleased with the principal, staff and curriculum.

Here's a school ranking website that might be helpful:
