Most of the answers here are correct. 02920, 02921 are the predominant zips for CHSW. There are a couple of other remote ones in the far west area.

However, 02920 splits as some of it goes to Cranston East. A good rule of thumb...the cut off is Dyer Ave and Budlong Road.

If you're referring to the East Side, absolutely. Low crime, no violence, lots of kid-oriented activities...schools (public) are challenged by a destitute city budget, but, IMHO, Nathan Bishop gets a B grade. Most East Side kids who go to public school go here.

We have a 12-year old daughter who is doing okay there. Would she receive more personal attention at one of the $20k+ private schools here? Of course, But the staff @ NB is really dedicated and vested in their students. Unlike the other public schools here, the principal and union agreed to let him select his teaching staff, who he holds to high standards.

Like I said, there are a lot of activities, such as a community sailing club/school/camp, ice skating rink downtown, a great Y & Jewish Community Center (open to all), a couple of great scouting troops...I can go on... It's worth investigating...

This house should have multiple offers on it quickly, and will eventually will sell for more than the asking price! ... more

Kim, my daughter has special needs and she went through the North Kingstown school system. It was a pretty good experience for her. They stayed on top of her IEP's and did quite a bit of inclusion at our direction. I'd be glad to be more detailed about our personal experience there if you want to send me an email outside of this forum. As I mentioned in a previous response to this question, East Greenwich also has a great program for special needs kids and is highly recognized. My email is joe@joedelsesto.com or you can go to my web site below to contact me. Thanks. Joe ... more
