There are companies that deal with only short term rentals. Many of these would be furnished. The best way to find them is to not go looking. You'll never find them. Get with the broker of your choice, tell them what you want, when and for how long and your budget. Leave the rest to them. Be prepared to pay a commission and get your paperwork together. Good luck.
Craigslist has a “housing wanted†section where you can post a message about your plight, or search its “sublets & temporary†listings for a suitable match.
A drawback of Craigslist is that you must filter out ads for apartments available for only a week or a few nights, skip over scams (anyone asking for payment via Western Union or wire transfer) and deal with decorating disappointments (where do people find these bedspreads?).
Be aware that you're competing with a lot of people for a rather limited quantity. Prices will vary by location and size as well as type of building.
You'll probably have to rent sight unseen.
I have access to a good inventory and may be able to assist depending on exactly what you need.
