You are eligible to rent anytime regardless if you have filed for bankruptcy recently. It will be up to the landlord to accept you as a tenant which may be more difficult since your credit score will have dropped considerably due to your bankruptcy filing.
I suggest that you find someone (a friend or relative who has good credit) to sign as a "Guarantor" for the lease. If you have a steady income and can provide some references this may help in getting the landlord to accept you as a tenant too.
