Believe it or not, the Days Inn is great. One of the best beaches, next door to a lovely hotel with great patio dining and close to Wialea. Buses run right by it , hourly. Rooms are a bit small, but, great beds, decent bathroom and shower and nice property with lounge chairs on the beach. The price cant be beat- usually under $130 per night! Restaurant on its property is pretty good too. Breakfast through dinner. Even has a small gym!

There are so many areas on Maui, it is "apples vs. oranges" depending on what you like. Definitely spend a few nights in Hana/Kipahulu if you like extraordinary natural beauty, peace, hikes, etc. The Hana Kai is a great condo complex out there. http://(www.HanaKai.com) My favorite beaches are in Kihei/Wailea, my favorite restaurants are on the West side, my favorite towns are Paia and Makawao. A great rental resource is vrbo.com or homeaway.com. Great music scattered around the island. Please email me if you need anything. :)

If you are looking at resorts, most of my clients prefer the Four Seasons, or Wailea Marriott. Condo's... favorites include Wailea Ekahi, Kam Sands & Palms at Wailea.
