As you can see, checking with realtors might not be the best solution.
You might check with:
Dallas Chinese Community
400 N Greenville Ave # 12
Richardson, TX 75081-2785
(972) 480-0311

Of course almost everyone's answer in these regards are biased. It's like asking people at work for suggestions on where to live. They always tell you where they live, not always perhaps where you should live.

Many school board websites have a break down of student population. You may look there, you may also want to contact the local economic development commission.

An online search of churches and International food stores, as well as a visit to the stores to talk to managers and store clerks will likely to prove beneficial.

I often suggest that my clients go to http://www.meetups.com This is a helpful website to connect with other people who are likely to have the answers you seek.

This is a common question and practical solutions need to be provided.

We are all so concerned about violation and offending anyone that we often forget that we know the tools to help you help yourself.

Good luck on your search.

Professional code of ethics would prevent any Realtor to make any comments, recommend to ask your "peer group" OR church, for these areas

This is research you need to do on your own. As Realtors we can not discuss ethnic make ups of neighborhoods. There is plenty of information availble to you on the internet.

Check out area statistics; real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods; so, you should check out demographics on your own to assure your comfort level can be reached.

Anyone who gives you a straight answer to your question in violating the law. As Agents and Realtors we may not address questions of race, religion or family issues. Phrases like Single family home are acceptable in relation to duplex or triplex, but a home for a family or specifying what type of family or that it's near a landmark such as a Church, Synagogue, Temple or Mosque would be prohibited as well as mentioning any specific racial makeup in a community.
