What is a good price for an apartment without utilities and what is a good price with utilities?

i just turned 18, and i have no idea how about going about renting a home, i want to be in the Iroquois school district so my fiance can finish out his schooling here. Please help me figure a good price for someone of my age.

agree with advise given. Obviously it's important to consider the neighborhood too. We rented downtown Erie on 10th street (good area) for a large one bedroom, but very big apartment for $350/month.

$500 for 2 bedroom apt with no utilities
$600 for 2 bedroom apt with utilities.

Erie Times news Saturday House to Home section is great place to search rentals.
Also Craigslist has apt listings.
