The homes for rent here are a one year lease, with a security deposit typically of one months rent.
Most homeowners are listing there rentals through a real estate company, and many then being managed by a Rental Managment company.
A credit check will be requested for almost all listings, this is to check background as well as credit. If you own a home still, is fine.
the rentals typcially go pretty fast,

Hi Debra,

Once you fill out a rental application for the rental home you like, the landlords will run a credit report and background check on your behalf and verify your income all to see if you qualify to rent out the home.
Once approved, you may have to pay a security deposit and 1st month's rent along with a pet deposit
if applicable. The application process usually only takes up to a couple days.
You can enlist the help of a Realtor to find you rental homes in your desired area.

1) First we would discuss what your needs are in a Home you want to lease.
2) I would set up a personal web site for you that would alert you every time a property matching your search criteria came on the market. You can identify "Favorites" and "Possibles" that you'd like to see. 3) Set appointments to view properties of interest. (Are you planning to be in Atlanta to look at homes?)
4) Submit an Application on the home you choose.
5) Complete Lease Contract once approved.
6) Complete a Move In Inspection Report when you move in, or a day or two before, depending on your circumstances.
7) Enjoy your New Home in Atlanta!
