Renting a Home in Jacksonville, FL

Asked by ziirahdane, Jacksonville, FL Fri Jan 11, 2013

I currently live in a 1/1 apartment for $760 and own a Siberian Husky (40lbs). Looking around for apartment complexes that are similar in size (or even 2/1) /lower price and do not restrict huskies is proving VERY difficult and I have thought about renting a house instead, if I can find one (and a backyard would be nice, too). Is this unrealistic?

My guess is you will probably need to find a rental home with an owner who is pet friendly. I work with a company that specializes in just those types of homes. We just had a 2/1 with a nice back yard that rented out for $675, and that was pet friendly. Many new homes come on the market in our company, but that price range is definitely on the low side.
