If your mother is looking to be a renter, she can find any agent with whom she is comfortable. An agent's commission would be paid by the owner/landlord, so in essence and agent's services would be free for the potential renter. The agent she chooses should have access to all the MLS listings, which would provide her the greatest number of potential places in which to rent.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi Cathy,
I do a lot of rentals in the area, and help quite a number of clients find rentals. Drop me an email with your mother's parameters (i.e. bedroom, bathroom, location, pets/no pets, rent threshold, etc), and i will see what i can do for you.

Have you tried working with a rental agent?

First stop --- google property management companies in Lafayette, then speak to at least a couple of rental agent who may even have upcoming listings not yet advertised
