Is it possible for me to rent an apartment or home even though I have a prior eviction?

Asked by Marie, Minneapolis, MN Sun Jun 30, 2013

I'm relocating to the Twin Cities area in mid August or Sept. I have an eviction on my record due to being laid off unexpectedly and wanted to know if it's possible to find a place with this on my record? Or will I need to pay the eviction off first? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Marie

Private party landlords will make an exception for you. MONEY talks :)

I am sure there is never an absolute, but the majority of available rentals will turn you away. Pay the eviction first and take care of it.
