I'm relocating from Southern California and I would like to rent a home in Almaden Valley for at least 1 year.

Asked by Steve Stamatis, 92883 Fri Jan 13, 2012

Need at least 2000sq. ft. and 3 bedrooms, 2 bath. I have excellent income and credit, no kids. Can anyone find me a nice, clean upgraded home? We are the kind of tenants people look for!

Hi Steve, You can also search http://www.Hotpads.com and http://www.postlets.com. They are two great rental sites.
I work for a management company here in San Jose. Go to various rental property management websites and you will be able to search their inventory. Cathy

Hello Steve~
You may want to hirer a realtor or search sites that can help, http://www.Craigslist.org have a few, but beware of scams.
Below is one on Korematsu ct listed by a property management agency, it is $3,400 a month. Some
are negotiable, but most likely not the case for Almaden.

I am open to paying a fee depending if the fee is reasonable. We are planning to move by the end of February or possibly sooner if necessary. The most I want to spend is $3000/mo.

I know of a newer towhouse 3 bed 3 bath 2500 +/- square feet in Almaden, They were asking $4500 per month and now want $4000.

Finding a rental may not be as easy as you hope in that not all property managers use our MLS to list the homes for rent and you may need to do some hunting around on Craigslist (exposed to scammers) and talking to different agents. The compensation to agents is usually pretty small if offered at all and that may be why you are not seeing a ton of emails offering you help and why James would want an agreement.

When I can be of further resource to you, please feel comfortable to call or email me directly. I have often times assisted people in selecting a neighborhood to rent in and weed out their CL's finds.

As a former SoCal gal I welcome you to NorCal.

If an agent helps you look for properties , you will also be paying a fee to the agent to arrange things for you. This wound be spelled out in detail on a renter/ broker agreement. Is this something you are ok with? By the way, how much are you willing to spend per month and when do you expect to move in?
