How does one go about finding low income housing without section 8?

There are many apartments available in all price ranges. Location, amenities and demand set the price of the rental. You as a tenant set the standard as far as your qualifications. Income, rental history, debt and credit may be factors that may be considered as far as setting your qualifications as a tenant.

Do you have a low income housing trust fund agreement in place and are looking for a qualifying home or are you looking for a home in a specific rental price bracket. I will try and help with either.

I would try searching online through craigslist, friends, family, etc. There are a lot of options out there.
