I am not familiar with the area, I live in NY now, so Please advise me with a good area which is not too far from the academy.

Sacro, If you get a roommate, you should be able to afford a 2-bedroom apartment in either Burbank, Valley Village, Valley Glen, North Hollywood or Glendale which are all close or fairly close to the Lakeside Dr. NYFS location. As a student, you're probably on a tight budget so check out Craigslist or sign up for Westside Rentals which is a reputable membership site. Best of luck!

We know the area very well and are familiar with the film academy on Lakeside.

When will you be needing the apartment? What is your price range? We may have a 2 bedroom coming up in the area approx 3 miles from the academy. Please note that most rentals in Burbank and surrounding areas have min 1 yr lease.

If above is not what you have anticipated or are looking for - your other option would be to check the short term rentals such as the Oakwood Apartments down the street from the academy located on Barham - approx 3 miles away:
3600 Barham Boulevard
Los Angeles, California 90068-1106

Riverside Apartments - approx 2.5 miles away:
1200 West Riverside Drive
Burbank, California 91506-3158

Avalon Apartments - don't know if they do short term but they're approx 2.5 miles away
401 North Pass Avenue
Burbank, California 91505

Good Luck.

Lakeside Dr is in Burbank - this is 30-45 minutes from there, depending on traffic.

Have you checked out the "rent" section at the top of Trulia? There may be something in there. Otherwise you could also check Craigslist.com to see what they have for posted for rentals.
