Hi, I'm new to Trulia but not new to real estate! You've named same great areas but they're all a little different. With two kids, I'm sure good schools are really important to you. I would recommend deciding on your top 3 criteria for location and then select the community based on that. Sometimes the area with the best schools is not always close to work. I hope this was helpful. Feel free to call me or email me anytime if you have more questions. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. :-)

North Oak Cliff is a dynamic, culturally diverse, friendly community, characterized by rolling hills and spectacular views of downtown Dallas. One of the oldest residential areas of Dallas, towering oak trees and the bluffs overlooking the Trinity River gave Oak Cliff its name. Just minutes from downtown Dallas and in close proximity to the entire Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, North Oak Cliff is enjoying a surge of new development and renovation as residents seek established neighborhoods with character and diversity and reject long commutes.

Here are details of a property in that neighborhood

I am very familiar with the VA. I work there too! It is a bit early to find an April lease. You were smart to get the release in writing. Contact me and I'd be happy to assist!

There are some great subdivisions within a short commute to the VA hospital. Give me a call and we can discuss it and I will send you some listings.

Thank you for the feedback, however, when talking to a few agents in the pass, they have their preference as to who and what they are looking to work with. Not all agents are looking to help people that are looking to rent. A lot prefer to work with people that want to buy right now, which is not where we are at, especially moving into a city 3 times bigger then where we currently live. How about you?
