Try http://www.AirBnb.com. It's a web site where individuals post rentals from shared rooms to whole houses.

Are you looking to rent your property or find one - there are lots of private residences that can accommodate weekly rentals - things to look out for (1) Yes you should be paying lodging tax on stays less than 30 days in most areas (2) There are some areas like NY City that don't allow weekly rentals, but most do (3) If the price is too good to be true it probably is and may be a scam so use a rental site that verifies all of its rentals.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sub/ is the craigslist web site for sublets and temporaries.

Extended Stays has a unit in San Ramon from $55/night, so 14 days there is $770 (probably some taxes on top of that). There are lots of other "extended stay" chains. Here's a really long URL to the one in San Ramon, or start with http://www.homeseadhotels.com.

Hi Dean,

2-4 week period is very very short time to get a rental. I would suggest staying at a hotel...you'll probably end up paying the same amount on a daily rate. Good luck.
