Consider listing with a broker; local print media; local bulletin boards; word of mouth, etc.

In our area, most rentals appear in free want ad papers. Often they are free to list in as well.

There is a website called postlets.com that will syndicate your listing to several other websites that do rentals. One of those sites is called hotPads.com. I get a lot of traffic from hot pads, but go ahead and put it on all the sites you can. PLUS it will give you a nice html code for a flyer you can post on Craigs List that will make your rental stand out.
