Hi Corissa,

As a realtor I would be obligated to show all homes in the areas you choose, and then let you do the research on crime and such.
I would be happy to help you find a nice home. Would need more information about whatbyounare looking for, ie: price, size, animals, how many on lease, etc.

Hello Corissa. There are several nice areas close to that location (Carrington College - 1001 W Southern Ave, Mesa, AZ 85210).

As for crime statistics, I would recommend you begin by doing some online research; here are a couple of good websites to start out:

(Note: these are just a couple of websites to review; you should perform a more thorough search of the local crime stats before determining a desirable area to live.)

I did a search of the MLS and found 25 'Active' listings under $1000 per month ALL within 5 miles of the College. These are all single-family homes.

Here's the link to those 25 homes:

If you include condos and townhomes, that adds an additional 107 properties; here's the link to just the condos/townhomes:

If you'd like more info on any of these properties, just send me a quick email to Jim@TheAZRealtor.com or give me a call at 480.231.6769. I'd be happy to assist you in finding a nice rental home!

(I've helped several families find rentals over the past several months in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, etc; you can check out my Trulia profile here: http://www.trulia.com/profile/jimmitchell/).

Thanks for the question!
