Is 2 months too early to start looking for an apartment? Will landlords have a problem waiting until my lease is over if I find one soon?

Here in the Fort Worth area the market is very, very hot. Two months is probably a little early. You may find a someone that will hold a property for that long. but it is unlikely. Even thirty days out, you will need to pay your deposit up front for them to hold it.

too early? no.

problem waiting?? it depends. i.e. if you lucky, apt may not be vacant for 2 months.
if it's vacant now you may have to start pay as of the next 1st of the month. it depends on the landlord.
