Do I need to contact a realtor/agent to rent a place or just contact the poster in Trulia?

Asked by fredozaeta, Skokie, IL Thu Sep 20, 2012

I just moved here in the US last May and I'm about to start work in Skokie. I don't have credit history yet so I don't know how that could affect my search.

A realtor has a lot of knowledge and advice to offer. The cost of using a realtor is usually absorbed by the owner of the property for rent. So why not contact a realtor for help? Just make sure you won't have any cost above and beyond the credit search and application fee.

It makes it more difficult with no credit, we would have to find you a place with a private landlord and may need at least 3 months deposit down along with proof of income. Give me a call.

Thanks
