Austin, Texas: a)apartment waiting lists - usual?, b) 55 communities

Asked by E. Lopez, Broward County, FL Thu Oct 24, 2013

a) My son traveled to Austin, Tx. in September. He found every apartment community he visited had long waiting lists, no matter the price. Is that the norm or did he just hit a difficult week?
b) I will possibly be moving to Austin also, but will look for 55 housing.

I believe since there are not that many 55+ communities that is probably one reason why there were waiting lists. I would contact Cari Cox at (512) 919-0041. She may be able to help. Tell her I sent you as she takes very good care of my clients and referrals… Joe

Apartments are very limited at a minimum most have project availibility if tenant does not renew. 99% OCC. The onlt true 55 plus communities are in Geogetown.folr homes. There are some condo/townhome communities.b
Let me know how I can help.

Waiting lists not usual, but apartments not vacant to show the actual unit is normal. There are plenty of 55+ housing options in Austin depending on what you're looking for.
