Putting a pool in a home is like buying a car. Lots of makes and models... and features.. Call at least 2 companies, and compare apples-2-apples.... Always ask for 2 references, and check with the references. Make sure everything is included, including permits, clean-up, and initial start-up supplies...

As others have said, it really depends on the area and the type of pool you're getting, not to mention any extras you're adding the swimming pool. Usually low to mid range five figures ($xx,xxx). Unless you get really extravagant with the pool you'll probably see prices between $18,000 to $50,000.

In east Fort Lauderdale, Florida below ground pools start at around $15,000. Depending on the company you choose, that price might be inclusive of labor, 400 square feet of decking, supplies, etc.

I hope this is helpful!

You did not mentioned the are you live in. For Central Florida it is from 18K to 30K for a 12x24 with 3ft of decking around it. Then add all the upgrades.

The best thing to do would be contact a reputable pool contractor to go through all the options and specifications you would be looking for once you have the property where the installation will be. Coming from experience getting estimates for my own house in Imperial Point in Fort Lauderdale an average size pool with basic equipment could run you in the range of $20,000 - $30,000.

I've seen pools under $10,000 & over $100,000...normal & average depend on what's normal & average to you.

You would need to consult with a contractor, decide if you wanted above ground or in ground, and make sure you have permits.
