I'm replacing my fence and suspect that the current one doesn't reflect my property line. How much does it cost to get a survey?

I'm trying to keep my costs down as much as possible.

Hi Daniel - A survey in the Chicago area may run you anywhere from $250.00 to $500.00. I definately would shop around for the best price. Good luck.

If I was the contractor doing the job my surveyor charges me $200. Without an ongoing relationship with a surveyor you're looking at $350-400.

Daniel, each time you're on Trulia, you're looking for a shortcut. Why not get an attorney, as you have been advised dozens of times before, and get it done right. If you suspect you have a problem now, it may be because there was a shortcut or cheaper execution in the past. Owning a property has costs. Do it right and you may save yourself in the long run.
