I am looking to add a full bath in my rental house in ocean city, is it illegal? what is the worst case scenerio??

I have 4 ,2 to 3 bed room units in oceancity for summer rental . I want to add a bath in each of them . Getting a permit is what i want but i am told it is a slow process, i do not have time , i want to list the properties starting yesterday. Help !!!

Dear Affordable,
Getting permits is not usually a "slow process", and it's necessary to ensure the construction is up to current code and meets the minimum requirements for quality. Please do get permits, and hire licensed contractors..it will protect YOU.
