Approximately how much would it cost to have house converted to gas?

Asked by Anne L, 32837 Wed Nov 16, 2011

Approximately how much would it cost to have house converted to gas? The home already has a large gas tank for heating the pool/hot tub. Could lines be run from this for a range and a tankless water heater? We just bought the home and were considering switching to gas since we have to buy all the appliances anyway and are already doing other minor renovations.

you will notice that everyone is saying "Yes, you can do it",
but no one is telling you how much:
We are Realtors, not gas plumbers.
I can estimate between $1000 and $10,000, but that doesn't help.
You need a gas professional.
Most plumbers could do that job.

Good luck and may God bless

Hi Anne,

Double check that you actually own the propane tank. A lot them are owned by the propane companies and leased long term. Otherwise, sure no problem. Try Heritage Propane in south Orlando. That's who we use.

Good luck, Mark

You have a propane tank for the pool heater already, yes, you can run a line to the stove and BBQ and water heater. You will need to get a propane company person to do it so it is done correctly.
