Hi Barbara, Having lived in the rancho Santa Fe area myself, I can assure you most of those schools are excellent. I can be more specific if you let me know which grade level. We thought very highly of Del Sur Elementary, which our children attended. Many of the schools in the 92127 zip are nearly new, having just been built with the special taxes in that zip code. Enjoy the schools, but be prepared to pay a higher property tax. Well worth it, if you are benefitting from the new schools. regards, Paul ... more

There are two main public school districts that service the Rancho Santa Fe zip codes, 92067 and 92091. These are the Rancho Santa Fe School District and the Solana Beach School district for elementary and middle schools. The high school is in the San Dieguito School District and it is Torrey Pines High School/Canyon Crest Academy. The school district boundaries are not as consistent as one would hope for! The Covenant in Rancho Santa Fe is in the Rancho Santa Fe School District as are several other communities adjacent to the Covenant. The RSF School is K-8th grade. The communities of Fairbanks Ranch, Rancho Santa Fe Farms and adjacent neighborhoods to this southern portion of RSF are sited in the Solana Beach School District. The elementary school is Solana Santa Fe and the middle school is Earl Warren Middle School. There are also small niches in the communities of The Bridges, Cielo, Southpointe Farms and Las Villas that are sited in either the Encinitas School District or the Escondido School District. Private schools are available as well within a 15 minute drive of the Ranch. These would include: La Jolla Country Day School, The Rhoades School, The Bishops School, Cathedral Catholic High School and St. James Catholic Elementary School to name a few. Each of these school districts do have their own websites if you would like more specific information. ... more
