Have your daughter contact a local mortgage broker to discuss her finances and options. If she is not able to purchase at this time, the lender can tell her what she needs to do in order to get her credit in place to be able to purchase. They can also give her a time frame of when it can happen. ... more

A site that I suggest my clients use is this one. Very user friendly and you can search by address, zip code etc.

Keep in mind, however, that what constitutes a crime, which labels someone as a sex offender, varies from state to state. In some states an 18 year old who has a consensual relationship with his 16 year old girlfriend can be labeled as a sex offender because she is under age. In other states, that is not the case. So, it helps to know state laws before assuming that one state has fewer than another. It can be based on something as simple as how their laws are applied.
I hope this helps!

April,
I don't know how long the houses you have been looking at have been on the market, and I don't know what you consider a long time. I'm in Owensboro, KY, which is about 100 miles from Radcliff, and I know that in this market, we have had an average time on the market between 115 and 135 days, to sell a home, during the last 5 years. That is in good times and not so good times. So, some houses take longer than 4months to sell and some sell in a shorter time, but that is the average time it takes to sell. The Radcliff market may be different than ours because of the presence of Fort Knox near Radcliff, which can cause some wider swings in market value and time on the market. But, overall the Real Estate market in KY has been pretty solid during this nationwide downturn. We never had a large upswing in property values, so there was no bubble to burst, as in California or Florida. We are very steady here. I hope that helps you some. Get a good Realtor in the Radcliff area to help you, and you should be fine.
John
