What is the general cost of living in Winter Park, Winter Springs or Casselberry, Florida? We're thinking of relocating from the Miami suburbs. What are some of the pros and cons? Many thanks!

Winter Park could be compared in some ways to Coral Gables in the Miami Area,Casselberry maybe to MIramar. Just give you an idea of style, cost and price of homes.

Winter Park has a definite downtown area with very good restaurants and stores. The median price of homes (50% higher and 50% lower) in Winter Park for the last six months was $ 299,000 for a single family home, numbers taken from MidFlorida Regional data base, $ 249,900 for Winter Springs and $ 222,500 for Casselbery. That gives you an idea of the home price comparison in the three cities. As stated, Winter Park is a bit pricier, but other costs may be about equal.

I hope that helps and I will be happy to entertain any other questions you may have.

I love the website It will give you lots of interesting information. Winter Park is a fabulous area with many beautiful historic homes (and some lovely new communities as well). The schools in Winter Springs are A-rated if that is a concern for you.

If you would like information on homes in the area or would like me to send you particular homes that meet your criteria, please let me know. I'd love to show you around when you're in the area--check out my website for more information.

Happy House Hunting--

Winter Park would be your highest cost of living (basing my opinion on home prices and the generally higher cost of goods in Winter Park), though depending on where you work you may save on Gas.

Casselberry is a little less expensive than Winter Springs housing wise, mostly because you can find more older smaller homes at reduced prices. All other costs are pretty similar. I would personally prefer to live in Winter Springs as it's a newer community with some nicer amenities IMO.

Lots of pros, no cons. If you are looking for downtown Winter Park (beautifull) its a little pricie, but the immediate outskirts are not. Location, location location.....Winter Springs is very nice and Casselberry has some fine areas too. But Winter Park is the place to be.
Let me know if I can be or service.
