East Hill is a great place live, if not the best for a professional single person. This is the southwestern part of Pensacola west of 12th Avenue, from downtown to about Cross Street. The more east you go toward the Bayou Texar, the bigger and more expensive, but 12th Ave is very lively with churches and schools. Most homes are renovated early 1900's and full of character, lots of parks. Everyone who moves out of East Hill for some reason really misses it, like us. It's the place to be!

Other areas you should check out would be Pensacola Beach, downtown, North Hill, and Gulf Breeze Proper. The Beach and downtown will be a little higher. Cordova Park is also closer to the life of the city, which I consider to be the downtown area. Anywhere else, you are out in the boonies.
