What is life like in the two Avalon buildings in New Rochelle?

Gary, thanks for the heads up. Was the rodent issue pervasive? That's not good in a big building like that. I felt the units were small, was unaware of the noise issue.

I have had a few friends that lived in the Avalon buildings. Most enjoyed the amenities (gym, pool, washer/dryer in unit, etc). The location is a plus as it is walking distance to train and other New Rochelle attractions. However, there are some negative points to address. (1) Can be expensive compared to other rentals. (2) My friends reported to me that living in the Avalon was like living in a college dorm. Many of the Iona student rent there. Very loud and noise can go until late in the night. Walls are paper thin. (3) One of my friends even had a mouse problem.

The complex is nice - BUT they are expensive as well as small.
