I have had a few friends that lived in the Avalon buildings. Most enjoyed the amenities (gym, pool, washer/dryer in unit, etc). The location is a plus as it is walking distance to train and other New Rochelle attractions. However, there are some negative points to address. (1) Can be expensive compared to other rentals. (2) My friends reported to me that living in the Avalon was like living in a college dorm. Many of the Iona student rent there. Very loud and noise can go until late in the night. Walls are paper thin. (3) One of my friends even had a mouse problem.
