The City of Chico provides maps of crime rates within the city limits. You may have to call the city for a link or email me and I will send you the file. In general we have a lower crime rate than other major cities. Email me for a pdf version of the map.

Here's a site I always refer people to check out. It allows you to compare cities. For example, in this link, I'm comparing Oakland to Alameda CA.

It's fast, and quite an eye-opener.

Some of the statistics you are looking for are right here on Trulia. If you go to the tab at the top Stats & Trends then look for the nearest area on the list. They will bring up the statitics for that area including some crime stats.

Dear Dr. The crime statistics for Chico can be found at: http://www.idcide.com/citydata/ca/chico.htm or you can search for them at http://www.cityrating.com, however, they are not divided up into zip codes--Chico has several. Homes in the Mill street area are predominately older homes with a mix of rentals and homeowners. It is close to downtown and the college. Thanks for your question!
