Serra Mesa (92123) future Community Development

Asked by Tim Rogers, San Diego, CA Sun Sep 30, 2007

What are the future community development plans for Serra Mesa and the 92123 zip code. Are they going to bury the power lines, put in more shops, parks, community centers etc.? Basically I am curious to know if they have any tangible plans to improve the community. Thanks for your help, Tim

According to the City of San Diego website, http://www.sandiego.gov , the Serra Mesa undergrounding project (Residential Project Block 6-Z), is in construction. It shows that the electrical panel and trenching work is complete and that SDG&E is starting cabling in November of 2007. To get more information about a specific street, you can call the Utilities Undergrounding Program Information Line at (619) 533-3872. The City also has a Serra Mesa Facilities Financing Plan, which has a plan for different transportation, park & recreation, library and fire projects. You can view the plan if you go to http://www.sandiego.gov/planning/facilitiesfinancing/plans/s…
