My family recently relocated to Naples from New York and finding a preschool was a bit tricky, however we are very happy with the school we are at: Preschool for the Arts: gorgeous facilities, intelligent and loving staff. We were considering First Presbyterian it has a reputable program. The VPK program offered through the state and funding part days in some private schools is too academic for early childhood education; in my opinion and we opted out of that for this year. Also if you have experience with and lean towards the Montessori Method, I can highly recommend Montessori Academy of Naples. We almost placed our children there but found the location to be too far from work and housing, a critical decision when relocating in Naples. Good luck and I look forward to meeting you at the playgrounds in and around town. Good playgrounds: cambier which is downtown and fleishmanns which is next to the coastland mall (mall has a cute indoor play area for rainy days.)

I grew up in Binghamton, NY which is not far from the Buffalo area and I have lived in Naples for over 17 years.

I have 5 children and I can tell you this, Naples has changed over the past 20 years and even though there is not a lot for kids to do here, there is more now than there was when I moved here.

My children attended the pre-K program offered at the local high school. I felt the program was good for my children as well as the high school students who participated in this program as part of their studies.

I am sure you can get information on these programs from the Collier County Public School website at http://www.collierschools.com.

Hi! You will love Naples. There are lots of great areas for kids... Particularly gated communities of Monterry in North Naples and more in town you would there are many church based and non-church based schools. I raised a daughter here and know the schools well BOTH near downtown Naples and North Naples. And Im a Florida native and resident of Naples 23 years! Give me a call and we can talk more about just EXACTLY what you are looking for for your family and lifestyle.

Naples has a lot to offer your little ones besides endless beaches, warm sunshine, a new Children's Museum, and an excellent education. Collier County schools are extremely strong academically. There are some very good pre-schools as well. My personal favorite is the Gaynor Center at the YMCA. they have a great program, beautiful facility, and wonderful staff. They do have a waiting list, so as soon as you know you are moving, you will want to submit your name on the list.
For other great local tips for young families and finding that perfect home in Naples, please give me a call. I relocated her over 5 years ago from California and it has been a wonderful change. I think you and your family will be very happy here!
Take care and enjoy the search.
