The high school is ranked in the bottom third (222 out of 316) in the state according to New Jersey Monthly Magazine which publishes the only statewide rankings available. They come out every two years.

Woodbridge is .. and has been for us a great place to live for the past 14 years (both proper woodbridge and its sorrounding 10 towns which make up one municipality township) ... have owned a home all along, and absolute fantastic commute to NYC with both Bus and express train serving the town and taking us to downtown or midtown with additional location advantage of being at the intersectionof 4 major state highways including turnpike and garden state pkwy so local and regional commute is very good. brokers will always have axe to grind for their own area, but for school reports is a great start although woodbridge isn't among the top high school its what a family wants sometimes its better to be valedictorian in a okay high school than being in the bottom 10% in a top high school with competition stiffling out your otherwise great kid out of all AP courses and top rankings which is what colleges look for anyway, so it really depends on our own kids too, we have teenager too and he has the opportunity to go to county magnate schools (enrollment based on middle school grade 8 open exam county wide) too in both health sciences for future doctors right in woodbridge or science and engg for future engineers, scientist in Edison next town over. The town life is wonderful with numerous activities for all ages happening throughout the year with a very gourmet restaurants in downtown. The town has some of the best shopping with 2 major malls and a superb community cum YMCA center newly built few years ago along with a private Racquet club and close to many parks and entertainment of NYC and Princeton and New Brunswick area theatres within easy 30 minute drive plus shore only 30 minutes away too. Woodbridge also boasts one of the best in state Gifted and Talented program most well funded and runs from k-12 both my kids were lucky to be in it with one in PEG (program for exceptionally gifted) with stu teacher ration of 1-8. Here is a link to township website for more info town has free summer concert series, free movie nights in open parks, cruisin Nights, farmers market and even a micro brewery. Just gotta come down and see for yourself don't take anyones word for their own town including this notewriters. If interested in realestate then go to and plug in 07095 zip for woodbridge for current listings there is decent value and range even walk to bus and train I do it for 14 yrs walk 2 blocks to train and 6 blocks to train to NYC.

You should check outr East Brunswick for public schools... Great town and the schoold are fantastic.
The commute to NYC is east and quick by bus or train. Teenagers have much to do, especially this is a great sports and activity town!
