We live in Woodstock, VT and go to Hanover a lot. Home prices within 30 minute drive to Hanover are VERY expensive. You basically can't touch a decent home for under $500K. Also, if you are not part of the university or hospital, it's hard to break in socially (Hanover is a very closed community). Hope this honesty helps.

The Hanover market is really picking up right now. With interest rates still low and many buyers wanting to be close to Dartmouth College and DHMC we are seeing a lot of activity.

I believe that you will find Hanover and the upper valley a pleasant and desireable place to live. Home values remain stable and quality of life attractive. Would you like to work with a local realtor in the upper valley?
