How intrusive or annoying is the noise from the train (horn at street intersections) that runs along Monocacy Creek?

Asked by swbrice, Bethlehem, PA Fri May 10, 2013

FRA indicates eight train movements per day by Norfolk & Southern, no quiet zones at any intersections (Center, Macada, Bridle Path, Illick's Mill).

I drive in that area often. I rarely see trains going through. My suggestion would be to look at the home you may have interest in and talk to the neighbors about your concerns. They would best be able to answer that. If you'd like to schedule an appointment, I'd be happy to help.

I live near this intersection and never encountered the train at night. It only seems to be a problem when I am running late and for one of the infrequent crossings gets in the way. Crossing Center street is where I am talking about.
