San Diego beaches are open year round, which is one of the features that makes San Diego such a wonderful place to live. In fact, locals enjoy the beaches even more after the summer months have passed because they are not so crowded.

Absolutely! The water may dip below 60 degrees in jan and feb but the brave don a full wetsuit and surf anyway.

Yes, yes and yes! Enjoy yourself but remember to wear a wet suit this time of year. The San Diego beaches are fantastic and so is San Diego County for that matter.

We are fortunate to live along the coast in Southern Ca.. Our beaches from Manhattan Beach to San Diego get some great weather all year.. I've often served Christmas brunch outdoors over the years..

Though our local beaches are generally open there are frequent specific beach closures during the winter months due to water quality issues. Our local water and sewer infastructure needs substantial repair and improvement in order to fully acommodate the population. The additional impact caused by winter run off creates problems for some of our beach areas.
