Susie Kay answered:
Have you talked to your agent about your concern? She/he is hired to represent you. If you don't have an agent then I would suggest working with one. It's at no cost to you and you have someone knowledgeable by your side. What's your complain? Perhaps you should complain to their top management. ... more

This doesn't sound like the reason they are breaking the contract. If they want to sell the house a small repair should not matter. Everybody is doing what it takes to sell a house. I personally think with house prices going up at this date (2016), they may have a better offer and could be using whatever excuse they can come up with. You may want to remind them if they signed a purchase agreement, that you would like them to adhere to it. Sometimes if there are too many problems tied to deal, you may want to look for the right one. I often think to myself, if these people are like that, what are the neighbors like. A house is usually long term. I haven't bought a house without talking to neighbors and visiting the area at night just to see if I may have missed something. ... more

There are Title 1 programs at Baker Elementary, Cockrell Elementary, Folsem Elementary and Rucker Elementary. You can contact Corrie Edmondson - the District Program Coordinator - at ccedmondson@prosper-isd.net

The purpose of this federally funded program is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and
significant opportunity to obtain high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on
challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Prosper ISD ensures this purpose is met by:

- Making certain that high-quality academic assessments, accountability systems, teacher
preparation and training, curriculum, and instructional materials are aligned with
challenging state academic standards;

- Meeting the educational needs of low-achieving children and children in need of reading
assistance;

- Closing the achievement gap between high- and low-performing children and between
disadvantaged children and their more advantaged peers;

- Distributing and targeting resources sufficiently to make a difference where needs are
greatest;

- Improving and strengthening accountability, teaching, and learning by using state
assessment systems designed to ensure that students are meeting challenging state
academic achievement and content standards and increasing achievement overall;

- Providing children additional services that increase the amount and quality of instructional
time;

- Ensuring the access of children to effective, scientifically based instructional materials and
strategies and challenging academic content; and

- Affording parents substantial and meaningful opportunities to participate in the education
of their children.

Keri,
As far as neighborhoods in Prosper, TX without HOA restrictions, you may want to consider Hillside, Valley View, Rhea Mills Estates, Collin Green, Bradford Farms, and Raewood on Preston. All of Prosper geographically qualifies for the USDA loan program, although you would also have to meet the criteria to use this loan. You can learn more about that program, and others, at the link below.

One of the least-developed subdivisions ahead of the recession hitting our area in Summer, 2008 and it hasn't recovered, even though many Prosper neighborhoods have been seeing amazing recovery in 2009/2010. Until the big banks get their act together on how they will be handling foreclosures, this particular neighborhood will continue to suffer due to low consumer confidence and a developer who is not maintaining the lots in and around the subdivision. If you look just one neighborhood to the East, you'll find Steeplechase, where K Hovnanian is having great growth this year and just held a grand opening on their model home. ... more

As the others have mentioned. Getting preapproved for a home loan is your first step. From there it will be easier knowing both how much you are wanting to spend on a home to narrow the search further.

I both live and work this area and can direct you to some great homes once you're ready.
