I found a property listed in the mls that appears to be the same house, listed for $365,000.

That just looks like false adverstising to me. Someone should report it. I will send it to Rudy at Trulia. I think the number comes from a notice that shows the amount in arrears,as to monthly payment, vs the total amount due in total liens. It not having a specific address makes it even more suspicious. If the company is licensed in WA state to sell real estate, it could also be ilegal advertising.

I will check it out and report it to the appropriate people. No way someone can buy it for that price. It would have been sold 1,000 times over by now.

Realty Trac markets properties that are heading for foreclosure. The price you see is a teaser or an opening bid price. Many of these foreclosures, if they are not bid up to a reasonable price, will be purchased by the lender that holds the note on the property and then put back on the market as a bank-owned property or REO.
