I agree with everything that Gary mentioned. In addition to having a real estate professional automatically provide you basic listings via email, you should also expect a proactive approach to learning what you want and seeking it out. In this fast-moving market (as Gary alluded to), things go FAST! I showed a fantastic bank-owned home earlier today, and the buyer wanted to think about it. That was at noon ... it is sold to someone else now.

Just some suggestions.

First, I know you're excited about finding a home, but placing your email or phone number anywhere on the internet may not be safe.

Second, homes currently for sale on Trulia, usually have "View Details" or "Contact Agent" links instead of "Ask a Question".

Just an observation:

When the market suddenly dropped in 2005 and 2006, home sellers did not believe agents when they were informed of falling prices. This spring, there is renewed activity and in some areas and price ranges. Now, Buyer's are failing to recognise this and are loosing out on some terrific bargains.

I suspect the serious buyers who purchased the home in question did so because they were pre-approved by a lender and possibly were receiving emails from an agent of new homes on the market.

Would you rather be asking about homes that were already purchased, or be the one with the accepted offer? The choice is all yours to make. I certainly hope you've taken the initative to be pre-approved for a home in this price range. Now, I suggest interviewing some Realtors(R) and chosing one to email you homes as they come on the market.

Price is $294,900. There has been an offer already accepted and no shows at this time. I encourage you to go to my web site and search other homes in the area or better yet call me and I can set you up with automatic notifications of homes that match your specific criteria.
