Being cheap $150 per square foot. Basic kitchen, basic counters, basic baths, standard builders lighting, linoleum –or- extremely basic tiles, standard faucets, no landscaping, no fencing.

Average with what most people want and "have to have" $225-$250 per square foot. As noted below, probably not including the land.

Your answer can range depending on the choices you select.

For example, do you want 2 x 4 construction or 2 x 6? Do you want a concrete block foundation or poured concrete? What type of insulation? Brick, stucco or other type of siding. Inside, subfloor with carpet or hardwood flooring? The choices are literally endless. It is best to work with an architect and builder. Give them your budget --- then go from there. And, I would suggest to build in a budget of at least 15 % for overages. The range can be anywhere from $ 150 a square foot to well over $300 ( not including the land ) depending on the choices you make.
