Julia is right. It is very frustrating. New construction can be very expensive although there are occasional deals on resale units. My office is next door to condos finished in 2007/8. The developer still has units available and there are resales as well. There are new buildings further down the beach in Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores, etc.
Many older buildings have been rehabed and look as good as new, Owners are also updating the interiors of their units. It is possible to get in a Gulf front building in the $300s and sometime high $200s. I have one in contract with a Gulf view just under $300,000. Prices on new buildings usually start in the $700s.
My clients have access to the MLS almost as complete as I do. It allows you to set your own criteria and communicate questions and comments for me directly on the site. If you would like more information please contact me.
