For more info you need to be a member of RealtyTrac. But as the saying goes, if it's too good to be true, it is.

There are many REO sales, but not very many in prime areas. An REO just means the bank owns the home, not the original seller. The seller lost the home to foreclosure.

The house will be put on the market at close to market value or within 10% of value, then you can take a look and see if you want to make an offer. It will never sell for $50,000 though.

If you would like more info on REO sales, let me know.

Hi can be sure that there is not a home in San Mateo county for sale for $50,000. I checked for any listings on Beresford and came up with several older listings and sales...prices ranged from in the $300's in 1999 to over $1million in 2007. There are no homes currently listed for sale on Beresford Court or Beresford St.there is a lot of media hype about foreclosures and short to work with an agent that you feel confident in and get the real facts about the market.
